I’m astonished at the activities and events that come through Ft. Worth. There is a breadth of activities for families, but where is the fun for adults? Well, as much fun as it is to do family activities, adults need their fun, too!
DaVinci's ideas are widely used today.
And this comes at a great time…Labor Day weekend! The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is inviting the adults out for a Night with DaVinci or DaVinci After Dark. Well, the exhibit anyways. But there will be Italian Wine Tasting, live music from the Invincible Czars and show performers. You can meet the original Renaissance Man himself (well, a really great impersonator) and view some of the really awesome work of DaVinci. The Stars Cafe will provide adult beverages and food.
If this sounds like something to jump start your 3-day weekend, why not check it out? Entrance fee is $10 while museum members are free. Maybe check into becoming a Museum Member while you’re there. The IMax theatre and Planetarium will also be open later. Lincoln Trinity Bluff residents are located just 11 mins. from the museum.

I’m sure that you’ve heard that foods containing antioxidants are good for your body and health. The latest buzz around the healthy industry today is antioxidants – what foods are they in, how much do we need and how it affects our overall health. Research has shown that antioxidants provide a wide range of benefits when it comes to the sustainability of your health. Antioxidants help with cholesterol and blood pressure stabilization. It can also help promote anti-aging – who wouldn’t want that?
“Antioxidants are substances or nutrients in our foods which can prevent or slow the oxidative damage to our body.” – Antioxidants 101

Isn’t it great having a gym a couple of steps away from your apartment at Lincoln Trinity Bluff? You don’t have to get in your car and deal with driving back and forth to workout. The apartment fitness center can be the best place to exercise. Besides not being as crowed as local gyms, it’s convenient and cheap. The fitness center is free to all residents. Why not take advantage of it as much as you can.
Been to the gym lately? Check it out today!
However, just because your fitness center isn’t open to the general public doesn’t mean you can be careless. Before you head back to the fitness center to workout, familiarize yourself with appropriate apartment workout room etiquette.
Don’t be that “rude gym guy” – follow these gym etiquette rules.
Fitness Rule 1 – Clean up after yourself. Please remember to wipe down the machines after you are done using them. This applies to everything in your life. You wouldn’t want to clean up after someone else. Most apartment communities don’t have funds to hire someone to clean up the gym on a daily basis. This means, it’s up to residents to keep their apartment gym looking top notch. Take care of the equipment and wipe it down after you use it.
Fitness Rule 2 – Exercise quietly. No one likes working out next to someone who’s making a whole bunch of noise. Good workout room etiquette calls for keeping gym noise to a minimum. Keep your weight lifting grunting soft and try to avoid slamming weights and equipment. Also, keep headphones and music at a reasonable level. Remember sometimes loud and disruptive noise can take people out of the workout “zen”.
Fitness Rule 3 – Don’t be a hog. I’m sure that everyone who goes to the gym hates that person who hogs equipment. Most apartment fitness centers are not as big as local gyms and don’t have as much equipment. Be mindful of how long you are on a certain machine. The same rule goes for weight machines. If you plan on doing several sets on the same machine, let others have a chance to use it while you take breaks. Remember sharing is caring.

What’s the hardest room in your apartment to decorate?
I would have to say the kitchen is the hardest room in an apartment to decorate. When it comes to decorating most apartment residents neglect their kitchen. It gets discouraging trying to decorate an apartment kitchen, especially with limited space and not enough freedom to be creative.
However, thanks to inexpensive home stores like IKEA, Target and Wal-Mart, it is easier than ever to find items that will help you maximize storage space, create new space in your kitchen and bring a new look to your small kitchen.
