Are you in the midst of spring cleaning? As you adopt new apartment organization strategies, follow these simple tips for de-cluttering your home.
Collect and beautify. Instead of stuffing small items into drawers and forgetting about them, use trays, baskets, and boxes to create order in drawers and on shelves. Your apartment will look better, and you’ll be able to find items easier.
Use the ‘one in, two out’ rule. Every time you buy something new, get rid of two old items. For example, if you just picked up a new bottle of nail polish, toss a couple of old dried out bottles or give colors that you don’t use anymore to a friend.
Pick up daily. One of the best ways to maintain a tidy home is to keep the messes from ever getting too big. Five or 10 minutes of picking up and putting away in each room every day can make a big difference.
Trinity Bluff Urban Apartments features ample indoor and outdoor space so that you can create the ideal balance for your busy life. For more information, fill out our online contact form, and our sales staff will get back to you as soon as possible.

Before you dismiss plastic furniture covers as gaudy and uncomfortable, or better left to your grandmother’s sofa in the 1970s, here are three reasons why you should give plastic furniture covers another try:
Extra Protection. Furniture is one of the biggest investments you will make, extending its life only makes sense. Furniture covers prevent stains that you’ll otherwise have to look at for years – especially if you have pets or small children.
Better Resale Value. Vintage furniture is one of the hottest trends around. Those midcentury sofas that your grandmother kept in plastic covers are now worth a pretty penny because they’re in mint condition. You could earn big returns if you keep your new furniture equally beautiful.
Comfortable New Designs. Today’s furniture covers aren’t crinkly and noisy. They are made from BPA-free, soft plastics that make them comfortable and more stylish, and you won’t have to worry about your thighs sticking to them in the summertime.

Catch them in the act: Trying to discipline after the act won’t give you good results. When you see your pet chewing on your cords, a firm “no” or “stop” should drive them away. Reward them whenever they resist the urge.
Distract and replace: Give your pets something to chew on that resembles the plastic cords. If you catch them chewing on yours, offer the replacement as an acceptable alternative, and be sure to reward them every time they choose their chew substitute over your cord.
Cats are tricky: If you’re not making any headway training a pet cat, try wrapping your cords in aluminum foil. Most cats hate the sounds and texture of foil and will avoid it entirely.

Succulents are great plants for growing indoors and are a perfect way to add a little green to your home. If you’re looking for some spring DIY crafts to welcome the season to your home, this Mason Jar Succulents project is the perfect place to start.
Small and Medium Mason Jars – check the dollar store or resale shop
Glass beads – easy to find at the dollar store
Rocks or gravel – think fish tank supplies
Succulents – most home stores have these out in early spring
In the bottom of a jar, add a layer of gravel or rocks
On top of the rocks, add a layer of glass beads
Add a layer of moist soil (making sure it is moist will help prevent settling into the beads and rocks.)
Place the succulent right on top of the soil.
Water plants as necessary, only after the soil starts to dry out.
