Clothing: Yoga is done barefoot. There are many types of yoga pants, but any exercise pants will do, just ensure that they stretch. A shirt that is a bit fitted works best as baggy shirts slide up in poses.
Equipment: When going for your first class, rent a mat from the venue before investing in one, as you may still be unsure at this stage whether you will continue. As you continue, you can invest in a mat. There are many types to choose from on the market. Take a water bottle in case you need a drink during class.
Preparation: Have a snack an hour before class and avoid a heavy meal. If you are early for class, do warm-up poses. Place your mat in an open space and practice at home.
