  • Maintain Your Current Weight – Most people gain only one pound over the holidays, but it is one pound that is difficult to lose. Try to maintain your current weight.
  • Holiday Meals – Have a protein snack before you tuck into that holiday buffet. Snacks like jerky are high in protein and will make you feel less hungry at the dinner table.
  • Prevent Binging – Eat fruits and salads with low fat dressings first before you have desserts. This will prevent binging on unhealthy foods later.
  • Save Calories – Save calories by what you eat by eating less at the dinner table. If there is pie after dinner, skip the mashed potatoes. Do not skip whole meals, as you will overeat.
  • Reward Yourself – By still getting exercise reward yourself by taking a longer shower or curling in bed with a good book.
  • Stay Active – Take the chairs instead of the elevator or take a stroll after dinner.
