There are a great many options for the residents of our Trinity Bluff apartment community looking for things to do in Dallas Fort Worth this holiday season. If you are looking for something a bit out of the ordinary that helps to boost the education resources for students in our area, check out the Dallas Cityscape display at Galleria Dallas.
Fascinating to the young and old alike, The Dallas Cityscape display is a scale model of the city built entirely of Legos. Imagine seeing the best known buildings, bridges and other architectural features of Dallas, accurately portrayed through careful selection and building of those iconic plastic building blocks. Surely generations of parents didn’t foresee this coming when they left the toys under the tree.
Admission costs $5 but it is certainly money well spent. All of the proceeds go to Education Opens Doors a rapidly growing program that encourages and trains middle school teachers to impress the importance of a college education onto their students. Students who believe that a college education is possible for them will work harder to achieve that goal.
The holiday season is traditionally portrayed as one big family fest of fun. Well that may work for selling Christmas cards but in the real world there are plenty of single people and even more so those separated from their family by distance. So instead of saying, “Bah, humbug!” to the season, head out to the Holiday in the City this December 14th and meet up with singles in the same boat as you!
