2015 is rolling along and hopefully so are your 2015 fitness goals. If your current fitness routine is getting a little stale or you’re just looking for more fun fitness events in Fort Worth, you should consider Zumba in the Square at Sundance Square Plaza.
If you’re not familiar with Zumba, here’s a quick primer. Zumba is a dance-fitness style of exercise that originated in Colombia in the 1990s. It incorporates music and dance moves from several styles of Latin American dance including Samba, Merengue, Cumbia, Reggaeton and Salsa. Zumba classes begin with a slow warmup and progress to faster rhythms. Strength exercises are incorporated into the sessions to make them a complete work out.
Zumba in the Square happens every other Saturday from April 4 – September 19. Classes begin at 9 a.m. and last an hour. Classes are led by instructors from the Amon G. Carter, Jr. Downtown YMCA.
